Obersteinbach is located
on the border of two Biosphere Reserves (UNESCO 1989); "Parc
Naturel des Vosges du Nord" and the "Palatinate
Nature Parc" just across the German border. This
small village is surrounded by vast forests wherein you find ruins of medieval
castles and bizarre rock, both of red sandstone. "Alsace
Village" carries the label "Hotels au Naturel" which indicates
a privileged environment where one respects human and regional aspects, natural
character and authenticity.
